Artist-in-Residence: Terence Gower

Terence Gower (b. British Colombia) is a Canadian artist based in New York City. He works on a number of bodies of work at once, each developed over several years. In the past decade, his work has focused on a critical re-reading of the modern movement and its utopian bent. Gower has been awarded the John Simon Guggenheim Memorial Fellowship, Smithsonian Artists Research Fellowship, Canada Council Long Term Grant, NYSCA Architecture, Planning & Design Project Award, Graham Foundation Fellowship, among others. His work is in the permanent collections of the Hirshhorn Museum and Sculpture Garden in Washington, D.C, among others.
