An exhibition featuring two installation works by Lisa Cheung and Leung Mee Ping, sharing the title Diving from Memory employing common elements of light and water.

Diving from Memory

The space and way of exhibition at Para Site, so far this has been the most satisfying exhibition space and experience for me – it is flexible with space and lack the politics and bureaucracy of formal exhibition venues. I also found the response and conversations from the neighbourhood very impressive. Besides, I did not expect the six friends who exhibited with me would be away, for short or long, from Hong Kong after this exhibition. It made this exhibition at Para Site even more precious to me.

— Leung Mee Ping

Diving from Memory

In this piece the central elements of wood, light and water are confined in space. Their natural interpretations are opposed, amplifying their evocative powers. The boat and its guide allude to travel, the passage of time and containment. The interplay between these forms and their shadows suggest a reality and remnant dreams.

— Lisa Cheung
