People define spaces; their activity and history characterizes the objects, buildings and environments which constitute these spaces. In any given surrounding, participation of individuals is a vital to urban development. What are we doing where? emphasizes this aspect of our everyday experience by prompting the audience to reflect on their own understanding of spatial interaction that has seemingly became an perfunctory reflex. The exhibition features installations and videos which invite the audience to act up and play games and through the negotiation of human identity in virtual space meditate their individual habitual interaction with their surroundings.

What are we doing where? is curated by Tobias Berger.

The exhibition is presented by Para Site Art Space and is part of the programme of the Hong Kong- Shenzhen Biennale of Urbanism / Architecture.
