Para Site and Hong Kong Ambassadors of Design presents MANUEL RAEDER, Experimental designer who delves between design and conceptual art.

MANUEL RAEDER of Studio Manuel Raeder will elaborate on his practice and concerns about construction of narratives, in the form of books, exhibition design and furniture. He sees books as carriers of information, or experimental devices to document or conceive narratives. Likewise, exhibition design can evolve in different sensorial experiences, thus leading the visitor through a spatial narrative.

Studio Manuel Raeder is an interdisciplinary design studio based in Berlin, that has been engaged in designing, publishing and editing over 100 artist books in the past ten years, as well as being responsible for the communication strategies and graphic identity of several cultural institutions such as Kölnischer Kusntverein (2007 – 2011), Kunstverein München (since 2010), and Artists Space New York (since 2009), and of the fashion label BLESS (since BLESS N° 23). The studio has developed long standing collaborations with artists such as Eran Schaerf, Mariana Castillo Deball, Haegue Yang, Nora Schultz, Abraham Cruzvillegas, Sergej Jensen and the Berlin based gallery, Galerie Neu. In 2011, together with Manuel Goller, Raeder founded the artist publishing house BOM DIA BOA TARDE BOA NOITE.
