Date

Time
7:00 pm – 8:00 pm

In this presentation, Para Site’s curator-in-residence, Santiago Villanueva, will travel around some artistic developments that took place between the 1980s and the 2000s in Argentina. He will insist on some important references even for today’s curatorial practice in the country, from Jorge Glusberg to Jorge Gumier Maier and his referential essay “El Tao del arte”. Villanueva will then reflect on some issues related to curatorial practice and how it is related to art history, activism and artistic production.

Santiago Villanueva is a curator and artist who lives and works in Buenos Aires, Argentina. He has been working on the development of surrealism in Argentina extending his research to the young generation of artists in Buenos Aires.
