ABOUT ArtMART

The 10th Anniversary of ArtMART is the perfect event to view and bid on spectacular artworks from both established and emerging international artists. ArtMART was initialed in 1998 to raise funds for Para Site Art Space and to promote contemporary art and its practices in Hong Kong. Our aim in 2008 is to raise 1.5 million Hong Kong dollars in order to further develop on our progresses/achievements in foresting and promoting contemporary visual arts in Hong Kong. As a leading curator-run space in the Greater China region with an ambitious outlook on high-quality contemporary art practices. All artworks featuring in the event are carefully selected and evaluated by our professional staff, and provide a unique opportunity to collect groundbreaking and highly sought-after pieces by celebrated artists at levels significantly more modest than the open market.

About Starstreet Precinct

The Starstreet Precinct – centred around Three Pacific Place and comprising mainly of Star Street, Moon Street, Sun Street, Wing Fung Street – is fast generating buzz as a destination for those who are in the mood for unique lifestyle choices. Back in the 1900s, it was the location of Hong Kong Electric’s power plant. Today, the precinct has evolved into an emerging dining area with strong artistic overtones, all thanks to a group of creative talents, designers and free-thinking restaurateurs who have filled the area with cafes, restaurants, bars, galleries, florists and home design outlets.

Together with a thoughtfully landscaped environment and a  3PP Link connecting the precinct to the rest of the PP complex, these ‘stars’ have turned the area into a Hong Kong lifestyle community with a quirky ambience, and have attracted other style-conscious entrepreneurs to add eclectic variety to the community. Apart from visitors who are in search of a hip and relaxed escape, the Starstreet Precinct also serves as a hub for high-profile finance and professional services corporations in Three Pacific Place, as well as a fashionable address for residents of the neighbouring premium residences.
