7–8pm: Power Naps Post print launch

To kick off the evening, editor and translator Wing Chan and co-curator of ‘signals…瞬息’ Celia Ho will host the launch of the print edition of Power Naps Post, an atmospheric intervention of the exhibition series. During the publication launch, Chan will introduce how the project serves as an experiment for readers to experience the exhibitions sideways. The session will offer a power nap moment for the audience to listen to selected writers’ audio reading of their contributions. Join us in person, or via Zoom (direct link here).

8–10pm: Karaoke

Karaoke has been an important part of the cultural life in Asia, and we would like to invite you to sing along to songs that echo the themes explored in this exhibition. The exhibition reimagines weather signals, human interpretation of natural sounds, rhythmic whirring of machines, and even the perception of the world in silence. The song list compiled by Para Site team members and interns spans genres, eras, and languages, and we would like to end the show with a bang made by you.
