A follow-up to the publication produced for the ‘Studio + Archive Project’ by Serene Hui in 2021, where she reads, speculates, misplaces, or interferes with parts of the archive, using a non-hierarchical narrative to disturb or detour around the data found in the system, making the information more elusive, obtaining an alternative knowledge and counter-memory.

In this final component, Serene reviews the material and recollects her experience with the Para Site Archive, through remote reading and intermittent reflection, rounding off the journey with three letters. The non-academic lecture takes an epistolary form, scripted as letters to people including curator Kobe Ko and prospective readers of the documents. The letters address reviews and research on documentation, memories, knowledge systems, and dissemination, and are accessible to the audience through a live read-aloud. These letters serve as a personal yet intellectual narrative, describing the process and nature of the archival record from the perspective of the reader, while attempting to reconstruct and reinvent incomplete stories from systematic documents.
