Para Site is excited to be back at the 2021 edition of BOOKED, Tai Kwun Contemporary’s third annual celebration of art and publishing, featuring over 80 local and non-local participants—including artists, publishers, organisations, booksellers and more—presenting artist-made and artist-centred books, including zines, photo books, monographs, and critical or experimental writing, alongside associated publications and ephemera.

In our booth this year, alongside the full range of Para Site’s publications and limited editions, we will be featuring works by Hong Kong artists, including grantees of the NoExit Grant for Unpaid Artistic Labour and participating artists in the PS Paid Studio Visits Programme: Chan Wai Lap, Samson Cheung Choi Sang, Chu Hoi Ting, Argus Fong, Hui Ka Chun, Ip Wai Lung, Vvzela Kook, Mo Kwok, Law Yuk Mui, Leung Wai Yan, Jiaming Liao, Ling Pui Sze, Wing Sze Ng, Jaffe Tse “Zenda”, Wong Sze Wai, Wu Jiaru, Yip Kin Bon, and Jennifer Yue Yuen Yu. All proceeds from the sales of artworks will go directly to the artists.

At a time when international travel is hindered, we’re also delighted this year to be twinning up with Art Metropole, a Toronto-based non-profit organisation whose publications will be represented at Para Site’s booth. Art Metropole focuses on the production, dissemination, and contextualisation of artist-initiated publications in any media, especially those formats and practices predisposed to sharing and circulation.
