What does an institution carry as it changes? Tune into a flowing series of conversations as Para Site morphs into our next chapter! Taking place during our 30th Anniversary year, ‘Para Site is Live’ is a public rehearsal for futures in the making.

Taking time to reflect and reposition is a powerful form of agency. Since its founding in 1996, Para Site has advocated for contemporary culture’s capacity to reshape our understanding of society – and ourselves. Looking ahead, we are evermore open to flux, to experimentality, and to nurturing the conditions for surprising alliances and unlikely solidarities. ‘Para Site is Live’ is a community-driven collective score charting where we go next.

The broadcast brings together members of our community—spanning three decades and all around the globe—to contribute casually, softly, and intuitively. Broadcast live from Quarry Bay and a nomadic radio studio designed by HONMI, the radio show follows four prompts:

  • Good Things Take Time (co-hosted by Kaitlin Chan)
  • Memory is a Method (co-hosted by Celia Ho)
  • Culture or Context? (co-hosted by Eunice Tsang)
  • Para Site is a Parasite! (co-hosted by the Para Site team)

Voices include: Kaitlin Chan, Sara Wong, Jessie Kwok, Cosmin Costinaș, Priyanka Sen, Celia Ho, Renee Lui, Yulia Yarkova, Alan Lau, Lisa Cheung, Heman Chong, Louie Jaubere, Jaffa Lam, Ocean Leung, Christine Lee, Trevor Yeung, Eunice Tsang, Jims Lam, Angelle Siyang-Le, Patrick Kho, Sonia So, Lê Thuận Uyên, Aaina Bhargava, Paola Sinisterra, Rondi Park, Man Shek, Stefan Luk, Miki Hui, Lydia Tai, Holly Leung, Yuanyu Li, Joseph Chen, Ingrid Pui Yee Chu, Ray Leung, Spy, and more.
