Yip Kin Bon (b. 1989, Hong Kong) is a mixed media artist who graduated from the Academy of Visual Arts of the Hong Kong Baptist University in 2013. His works feature a variety of approaches that include collecting, reading, sorting, and integrating, which are often presented in forms of collage. He rearranges the context of incidents, objects, and time to reflect the absurdity of this world. Yip had a solo exhibition, ‘Almost black, the white terror; Almost white, the black humour’, in 2014. He has taken part in various exhibitions including: ‘Sea Breeze—Jogja Biennale 2019’ in Indonesia, ‘No Cause For Alarm’ in La MaMa Galleria, New York (2016) and ‘The City of Homeless’ in Arko Art Center, Seoul. His artwork is among the collection of the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art, USA, as well as private collections in Hong Kong.
