3–5pm: Artist-led Movement Workshop

Dive into embodied movement with Phasmahammer as they share their creative process. Drawing on Body Weather and their study with mentor Victoria Hunt, participants will be guided through dynamic physical exercises that explore the intersections of bodies and environments, attending to the shifting internal and external conditions. Open to all – no prior experience needed!

6:30–8pm: Artist Sharing, followed by Meet and Greet session

An intimate conversation with Phasmahammer, in dialogue with Joseph Lee (Artistic Director, Unlock Dancing Plaza) and moderated by Celia Ho (Co-Curator, ‘Elsewhere in Me’). Public Programme Partner

Unlock Dancing Plaza is one of the most forward-thinking and adventurous contemporary dance companies in Hong Kong. Founded in 2002 by Ong Yong Lock and Elsie Chau, the company has been financially supported by the Hong Kong Arts Development Council since 2009. In 2022, Joseph Lee succeeded Ong as the Artistic Director and Ong became Creative Director (Public Participatory) , focusing on outreach and community programmes. Determined to extend possibilities of dance making, Unlock aspires to develop a diverse performing arts ecology. Emancipating from institutionalized dance aesthetics, the company proposes to redefine dance as a natural form of self-expression, honoring individuality, and breaking from the production-focused part for the course. In recent years, Unlock has made new attempts to conduct various experimental projects to re-imagine dance.

Unlock embodied individuality in dance and promoted the concept of Danceless , a new aesthetic notion to forsake dance techniques and empower everyone’s ability to dance. Engaging the community through workshops and showcases to create dance, effectively promoting mutual exchange between artists and the public by shared dance experience.
