And because we would like you to know exactly how your support translates into our work, here are a few examples of costs for our projects:
$3,000 is a wall text for one of our exhibitions
$5,000 is the transportation of a visiting artist from the region
$10,000 is the electricity in the gallery for one month
$50,000 is an international residency outside of Hong Kong
$70,000 is the production of a newly commissioned installation work
$120,000 is the printing of a major Para Site publication
$200,000 is the production of a project at our annex space
$600,000 is the annual Alternative School and Workshop for Emerging Arts Professionals programmes
$800,000 is the production of a regular Para Site exhibition
Apart from supporting Para Site on an annual basis, we always welcome donations of any size! Even the smallest contribution enables us to cover important costs as you can see from the above list.

Para Site is a key institution in Asia that offers opportunities for the advancement of artists’ and art practitioners’ practices in Asia and beyond, especially to emerging and mid-career artists who may not have had the opportunity to take part in their first institutional exhibition, commission or residency.
