Glamorous Youth is a social realist film which comprises elements of youth-hood, romance, and family. The filmmaker articulates the anxiety, helplessness, as well as the desire for an ideal life felt by Hong Kong people through three character stories. The film depicts the mentality of these characters under the context of the handover in 1997.
